In line with ICESCO's efforts to empower youth and enhance their readiness for the labor market, the ICESCO Regional Office in Sharjah participated in the First International Graduates Conference, held at the University of Sharjah from 22 to 23 January 2025 in the United Arab Emirates, with broad participation from graduates, academics, and representatives of educational and professional institutions. This conference forms part of ongoing efforts to support graduate employment and enhance training and professional qualification opportunities, contributing to the preparation of qualified cadres capable of meeting the demands of the knowledge economy.
The conference served as an interactive platform to strengthen communication between graduates and the labor market, and to showcase available opportunities in employment and training, alongside highlighting ICESCO's role in supporting initiatives aimed at developing youth skills and enabling their active engagement in development pathways. The event also included the participation of the ICESCO Regional Office in the accompanying career fair, where comprehensive information on the Organization's programs and initiatives was presented, attracting a number of University of Sharjah graduates to explore available professional and volunteer opportunities.
The conference further contributed to strengthening academic and professional partnerships between educational institutions and governmental and private entities, supporting the development of an integrated system for youth empowerment and human capital development. Participants underscored the importance of investing in young talent and providing a supportive environment for innovation and entrepreneurship, thereby enhancing prospects for achieving sustainable development in the fields of education and employment.
This event falls within the strategic vision of the Emirate of Sharjah as a global hub for science and knowledge, and as an incubating environment for educational and youth initiatives. The ICESCO Regional Office in Sharjah continues its efforts to support youth empowerment and capacity-building programs, and to strengthen international cooperation in the fields of education, employment, and training, contributing to the preparation of generations capable of leading the future and achieving comprehensive development.
