In line with ICESCO’s efforts to enhance the status of the Arabic language and develop its teaching methodologies worldwide, the ICESCO Regional Office in Sharjah participated in a joint meeting with the Alef Education Platform, held from 17 to 18 February 2025 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, with the participation of a distinguished group of experts and specialists in education and modern technologies. The meeting took place within the context of supporting Arabic language education for non-native speakers and promoting the use of educational technologies and artificial intelligence in learning, thereby contributing to the advancement of the educational process and the improvement of its outcomes.
The meeting served as a strategic platform to explore ways of strengthening Arabic reading and writing skills and to review the latest digital solutions and innovative educational initiatives that support Arabic language learning through interactive and effective approaches. Participants also discussed the importance of launching joint projects aimed at enhancing the efficiency of educational programs and expanding the use of modern technologies in supporting Arabic language learning across different age groups.
The discussions further contributed to strengthening institutional partnerships in the field of digital education and facilitating the exchange of expertise among participating entities. This supports the development of innovative initiatives that contribute to the global promotion of the Arabic language and the enhancement of its presence worldwide. Participants emphasized the importance of building an integrated, innovation-driven education system that draws on international best practices and supports the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals in the education sector.
